The units are also close to the departure point for the Maria Island Ferry, so why not pack a picnic lunch and spend the day exploring this facinating and historic island national and marine park, with its beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife.  Maria Island is an ideal and tranquil place for walking and cycling with two great peaks to climb.

 

Bring your boat, bring your bikes, bring your body boards!  Orford and the Prosser River are great for fishing and water skiing, surfing, bike riding or walking.  A must walk is along the Old Convict Road beside the river.

Travel one hour to mystical Port Arthur and the Convict Ruins and one hour to Freycinet National Park and its stunning scenery and walking tracks.

 

Hobart is also just an hours drive and Salamanca Market on a Saturday is a must visit.  Cadburys Chocolate Factory in Claremont and David Walsh's world renound Mona and Morilla Vineyard also just over an hour away.
